Ever wondered how you keep from flying off the track on a fast roller coaster? In this engineering challenge you will work in small groups to design super roller coasters. By creating the coaster design, attaching lights, and creating a power source your challenge is to make the most exciting ride imaginable that will be racing at the demonstrations.
Chuck It!
Discover the physics of flight as you construct instruments to launch projectiles and measure their distance, speed, and velocity. If Catapults, sling shots and air cannons are your thing, this is the workshop series for you.
Robotics.
Build and operate your very own robot with your team. See how your robot stands up to others as it is put through the challenges on the robot test track. This course will use the Lego NTX robotic kits.
CSI - Forensics.
Learn to find answers with clues the way crime scene investigators do; using the tried and true scientific approach. Work with your group to unravel a mystery while having a whole lot of fun.
Rocketry and Aeronautics.
Build, launch, and analyze the data from your team’s rocket to make improvements and fly again. Learn about the aeronautics of rockets with hands-on experiments and demonstrations.
